1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit our website. They help us provide you with a better experience by remembering your preferences and understanding how you use our platform.

2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies minimally, only for essential purposes:

  • Keep you signed in to your account
  • Prevent fraud and enhance security
  • Load balancing and performance

Our analytics and marketing measurement are fully cookieless and do not store any data on your device.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

COOKIELESS

4. Third-Party Cookies

We use services from trusted third-party providers that may set their own cookies:

  • PostHog: Product analytics (cookieless — no cookies set)
  • Meta Conversions API: Advertising measurement (cookieless — server-side only)
  • Polar.sh: Subscription and payment management
  • Cloudflare: Security and performance

These third parties have their own privacy policies governing their use of cookies.

5. How Long Cookies Last

Session Cookies

Temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser.

Persistent Cookies

Remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them. Our persistent cookies typically last between 30 days and 2 years.

6. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You have several options to control cookies:

Browser Settings

Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or delete existing ones. Here's how:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies
  • Edge: Settings → Privacy → Cookies

Our Approach

We minimize cookie usage wherever possible. Both our analytics (PostHog) and marketing measurement (Meta Conversions API) run entirely cookieless — no tracking cookies are placed on your device. Only essential cookies required for authentication and security are used.

Note

Blocking certain cookies may affect your ability to use some features of our platform. Essential cookies cannot be disabled as they are necessary for the platform to function.

7. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" feature. Currently, there is no industry standard for how to respond to these signals, so BeatSync does not respond to Do Not Track requests at this time.

8. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, legislation, or our practices. We will notify you of significant changes through our platform or by email.
